Every fall I break out this Respro Hump reflective pack cover. 4yrs after buying it’s going as strong as ever. If I lost this bad boy I’d order up another one in a heartbeat. It provides a huge amount of visibility without needing batteries. After 4yrs of use it looks as good as new.
As a bonus the cover is waterproof so if keeping your pack sounds good you get some weather protection along with the enhanced visibility.
The one downside to this product is that you have to peel it back at the top to access your pack. For a bike commuter doing this once each way is no problem. However, if you need to run errands in the dark and stop 10 times on a ride to access your pack you might get annoyed.
The Hump has an elasticized perimeter which grabs onto a typical 20-30L daypack and then two stretchy straps secure it fully. You can add or remove this cover in about 10 seconds.
All in all a fantastic piece of kit I use regularly on my bicycle and motorcycle during the dark days of winter. 🙂
